Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Kota Batang, is part of the Java North Coast (Pantura) corridor, a primary arterial used by heavy vehicles, but the studies reviewed here did not report the surface condition of a comparable flexible-pavement section assessed with the Pavement Condition Index (IKP). This study determines the IKP, the dominant distresses, the location of damaged segments, and the required treatment on a 1-km section. A visual survey was carried out on 10 October 2026 on 80 sample units (50 m each, 40 per direction) following Guideline Pd 01-2016-B, and differences between directions and lanes were tested with the Mann-Whitney test. The pavement is in Very Good condition overall (IKP 86.9), but the damage is concentrated in specific segments rather than spread evenly: 12 of the 80 units (15%) are in the Fair or Poor classes, and station 0+550–0+600 is among the worst in both directions. Alligator cracking is the dominant distress, and no high-severity distress was found. The westbound IKP (84.9) and the eastbound IKP (88.5) do not differ significantly (p = 0.27), nor do the two lanes. Most of the section needs only routine or periodic maintenance, while three westbound units require reconstruction or recycling. The results give a baseline for monitoring this corridor and for focusing maintenance on the damaged segments.
